Events Calendar: Media Literacy for Faculty

Browse workshops, lecture series, exhibitions, and more at the Prince George's Community College Library.

Introduction

(Source: Cue Blog

In a world that is constantly changing you see media everywhere.  Messages bombard the senses; texts, tweets, blogs, Facebook, TV, news, and advertising.  What is true, false, biased or inferred from these messages? How can you decipher them and see the underlying evidence inferred?

Critical thinking, inquiry, and self-expression will be explored as we analyze, evaluate, and create messages in a variety of forms to achieve a better understanding of media in society.
