LCC's BookFest 2025

At Laurel College Center - 5th Floor Student Lounge
Celebrate National Library Week while meeting local authors, listening to readings, and participating in free Writing Workshops.
This event is free and fun for all ages, and open to the public.

Library Book Cover Contest
Enter by April 21, 2025
Enter our PGCC Library Book Cover Contest, your book cover is evaluated on various criteria by our panel of judges, and the public can also vote on the overall appeal of your cover 
Sign Up sheets are at the Circulation desk as well as a blank canvas for your entry.
Flyer with information regarding Book Cover Contest. Instructions state to Submit your own illustration, interpretation, or design of your favorite book cover. Fill out a submission form at the circulation desk to receive an 8x10 Canvas. Use any medium for your unique design or this canvas artwork. The book cover should include the following: A clear title and author name, and a graphic design that reflections the books theme. Submit your cover by April 21. Contest Display April 21-25. Judging takes place April 28.
 

March Book Chats
Friday March 21 and 28, 2025
Join us as we celebrate Women's History Month with our PGCC Library Book Chat selection of Dear Black Girls: How To Be True To You by  A'ja Wilson, WNBA star and one of Time's Women of the Year. Discussion questions will be posted on our Facebook Page the last two Fridays of the month, March 21st & 28th.
