This 2013
PBS Series, produced and directed by Rob Rapley, portrays a small group of moral reformers in the 1830's who launched one of the most ambitious social movements imaginable: the immediate emancipation of millions of African-Americans held in bondage, at a time when slavery was one of the most powerful economic and political forces in the United States.
