What is Expected of Me, the Student?

  • You are expected to arrive ON TIME for each of your online appointments
  • You should have books, lecture notes, syllabi, and assignments with you
  • You should read and attempt any assigned material prior to coming to your online appointment
  •  You should move to a quiet room and try to keep background noises low before starting your online appointment

What Will the Tutoring Center Not Do?

  • Tutors will not do your homework for you. It is your responsibility to come prepared.
  • Tutors will not provide answers to quizzes, tests, or assignments that count toward your final course grade.
  • Tutors will not sign off that you have attended a tutoring appointment. If you have a requirement for proof of tutoring please speak with the manager for assistance.

Attendance/Cancellation Policy

  • You may make 1 appointment per day with a maximum of 2 appointments per week, per subject.
  • Any appointment cancellation must be made at least 24 hours before the appointment or you will be considered a no-show. (Call (301) 546-0748 to cancel or leave a message.)
  • Appointments made on the same day are expected to be kept; otherwise, you will be considered a no-show.
  • If you arrive more than 10 minutes late, your appointment will be available for walk-ins. If your time is given away, you will be considered a no-show.
  • If you have two no-shows, you will be contacted by the Manager. On the third no-show, you will be required to meet with the manager before making additional appointments.
