Message from the Coordinator

While we work to provide the best possible virtual tutoring service to all of you, we understand that there have been some connection and other system-wide issues with Blackboard Collaborate Ultra because of increased usage on the site. If you find you are unable to connect with us, please view your Prince George's Community College email for any notifications from e-Learning about Collaborate Ultra disruptions. If outages do occur rest assured we will be back with you as soon as possible. Thank you for your understanding. We hope everyone is staying safe.

Online tutoring will be held in Blackboard Collaborate Ultra. It will utilize your computer’s microphone and camera. We recommend that you use the Google Chrome web browser. View this short video on using Blackboard Collaborate Ultra:

How To Request A Tutoring Center Tutor

  • Please check the tutor’s current weekly availability
  • Look for your course and an available appointment time

  • You will be asked to “Type your name to join the session as a guest.”
  • Type your name (first and last) and click “Join Session.
  • Locate and click the “Raise hand” icon at the bottom of the screen. A moderator will answer your raised hand in the order it was received and will communicate with you in a private chat.  This may take some time, so please be patient with us.

Unfortunately, we have limited technical support for these options. Please read Get Started with Collaborate Ultra for Participants for technical help.
  • You will be asked to “Type your name to join the session as a guest.”
